Default Exchange newly purchased MBox2 for Mbox3?

I bought and registered a new Mbox 2 less than 30 days ago (27 days ago to be exact) and was wondering if there is any way to exchange the newly purchased Mbox 2 for the Mbox 3, since it is such a new purchase - I wouldn't have even bought the Mbox 2 had I known the Mbox 3 would be coming out in just a couple of weeks.

Talk to your dealer. You will have to fill out a transfer of ownership form.

It sucks when this happens! I had the same experience when I purchased the 003 and weeks later Digi introduced the 003+ and then again when I bought Acronis for Win 7, and within weeks they brought out Acronis 2011. (I'm sure there were other times also) Both times I ended up eating it. But put yourself in their position. They have to get rid of their old stock and chances are you probably got a good deal! When prices drop on a particular item, chances are they're dumping it from their line. Good luck with the exchange.

if you have had if for less than 30 days, there should be no problem in returning it. As they have a 45 day satisfaction, 45 day Lowest Price guarantee.

So good news...

they obviously were not able to do a straight monetary exchange since the Mbox 3 is obviously worth more at this point, but they did approve a full refund on my already opened Mbox 2...so tomorrow I will ship it off to them, and when I get my funds back in probably a week or so I will order the Mbox 3 from them!!

i HIGHLY recommend Musicians Friend...on my initial order UPS was 1 day late on 2nd day AIR and they refunded me the $40 extra I paid. Awesome service!!

That is good news(and a nice point for that company). In their defense, they may not have known about the upcoming new stuff. Most audio and MI manufacturers are very tight-lipped about new stuff.

very true..thats how they sell of their backstock of older models (i bought one! lol)

i wouldnt have even considered trading up to the Mbox 3, but a lot of people are giving this rave reviews, saying it is miles and miles above Mbox 2 and a turning point for digi/avid audio hardware in this bracket.
