Default Help with Omni monitor and IO

My PT11 OMNI system has got into a problem with the IO. I can't get output for various reasons. Basically it's making a duplicate of whatever monitor output it make and i can't delete it
If I open the IO in any session including new ones, then click ok to close it, I get the message 'You haven't assigned outputs for some new output paths. Please either assign outputs to them, or delete the paths'

Also below my normal 5.0 monitor output, I now have another 5.0 Monitor (1) path in italics. I cannot delete this as I get the message 'The Monitor path cannot be deleted from the IO Setup dialog. Please open the Hardware Setup dialog's monitor tab to modify the Monitor path'

This cannot be done, as I can't remove anything

Also, even if I change my hardware setup to mono output instead of 5.0. Then when I go to my IO it makes 2 output paths called mono monitor! If I try to close down the IO it says I can't have 2 channels called the same thing. It created them! And I can't removed them!

Default Re: Help with Omni monitor and IO

Go to I/O settings.

On each tab of the I/O settings click the "Default" button.

Close I/O settings and leave them closed until you RTFM!

Be sure to read the part about setting Monitor outputs FIRST, and the part about how you can't use an output set as a Monitor output for any thing else...

Just rockin'...what more is there?
