Default 8.04 Issues - thread starter

All,
So I took the upgrade the other day and it went flawless. I noticed that the actual load for Pro Tools is much quicker and comes up in half the time (nice AVID) I also noticed that the Digidesign background is now gone (lame but I understand) The solid background is nice but it would be cool if we could have a feature down the line to put our studio logo on the background or something. Here is what I notice and I think that there is a memory leak or something going on. Might be the i7 machine but not sure.

1. After a long session of FLAWLESS tracking I start to edit. I used elastic audio for the most part flawless but when I try to render out the audio with x-form it gives errors on the render bar that drops the wav below as a failure (do not have the exact message but the rendered wav goes WHITE with no audio) Not cool. Took me 5 pre saved backups of that session to get the audio back and I had to start over on the drum edits. With a reboot and the re-edits I was able to "commit" but did not want to try the x-form again.

2. Seems that after the box sits stag for a few hours and you return to the session I get buffer errors. Lame....

So these are the two that are standing out. Not sure how to figure if it is a memory leak or not. Just seems that Elastic audio is always my nemesis on Pro Tools. 7.4 works like a champ but after 8.0 it seemed to have changed some.

Not sure, still watching it. Records super smooth, edits, not so much...

Anyone else seeing this?
