PT2023.3 Upgrade Issues with UAD

Hello,

I am having issues opening old sessions in PT2023.3. When I open a session I get a hardware error -23 but my UAD Apollo with the latest update is working fine. I can open a new session without any issues and PT recognizes UAD. I'm running a MacBook Pro M1Max. Any ideas?

I would start to check to see if all your UAD drivers, plugins, etc are Apple Silicon Compatible. Universal Audio's website should be able answer that easily. Protools 2023.3 which defaults to Apple Silicon native (as opposed to 2022.12 which defaults to Rosetta and can run Intel code. Both version can be switched to the other as desired. In other words, you might try switching your Protools 2023.3 from its default Apple Silicon mode to Rosetta mode and relaunch Protools to see if your older sessions using UAD work.

I have switched to Rosetta with the same issues and all of my UAD software is up to date. This isn't the first time that I've had issues with updates. This is clearly on Avid, but the tech support has put the fault on UAD. Downgrading is an option, but I cant seem to find older versions of PT to download. They don't make it easy.
