Default G4 500 with PT 5.0.1 Stability?

Got a good deal on a G4 500 (AGP model) and am hoping that despite earlier reports this will be a stable machine with PT. Is this the case or is it still recommended to get the G4 400 or 450?

I've got a dual 500... very stable. I had a problem earlier today (see 'Sudden Crashes'), but it turned out to be too many tracks off of one drive. After balancing the drive load, everything went back to happiness :P

G4 500, PT MixPlus..... Most stable system I have ever used.....

Sometimes for fun i like to hold down CMD [ and CMD ] and watch how fast the G4 zooms in and out.... Screen redraws are a beautiful thing on a G4 500

I've got a G4/500 w/PT MixPlus and haven't had any major problems yet. I've got 256 megs of Ram.
(w/ATTO scsi card, 1 18gig DigiDrive, a Teac scsi burner, and a partridge in a pear tree)

g4/dual 500
started off bad with a 9060 error then i never got it again. but 2 days later the internal hd died. will be talking to apple on monday.
what scsi card are you guys using and if atto are you running ept 2.3.2
what are your drives formatted with??
is your ept extension in the ext folder.
i have gotten so much conflicting info from so many people that i'm still wondering.
right now i'm doing everything according to digi specs, but i do not have the ept ext on and i haven't tried more than 24 tracks.
any info would be most appreciated.

g4/dual 500 384ram os 9.0.4 pt 5.0.1
