Eucon 2022.12.1.34 S1 No Soft Key Colors

I always found this a bit unreliable before, but in the current Eucon I can not customise any Soft Key Colours on the Avid S1.

In Settings > General > Soft Key Color set to Track Color works - albeit a little dark and funky as we have come to expect with darker track colors.

But if I try and switch that setting to Soft Key Colors I get no colors at all.

Colours only show up for certain commands only: selectable/toggles. They get lit for when they are toggled on.

It makes no sense but Avid has chosen this inconsistent approach vs doing colors like the Dock softkeys. Dumb choice on their part and not explained in the Eucontol setting so to make it more confusing for users. Bad UI.

Not a dumb choice (thanks!) To simplify and improve things going forward we put the softkey code from S6 into EuControl. This already has made some good improvements. You now have a real delay feature for instance. Next release will see multi-DAW macros...and watch this space for Soundflow commands. The fall out which is being addressed and even improved over what it was before 22.12 is that the off-state colors don't show. Sometimes to move forward takes a little time, EUCON code is extremely complicated.

Thanks Eddie, so I understand. It is now normal behaviour for the soft keys to not show Soft Key Colors created in the Eucontrol Settings? Unless for commands that have an On and Off state?

Could you please confirm? And will this return in the future?

Are direct Soundflow commands coming to the S1 too?!? That would be great.

Does this mean there's the possibility of integrating Eucon commands into Soundflow at some point in the future as well? Direct communication both ways would be an incredible system.
