Default dragging crossfades

Hey all I used to be able to grab a crossfade and drag it, but some setting changed the other day. Now when I grab the crossfade, drag and let go, the crossfade disappears and there's a couple of new tiny clips that occupy the space in which the crossfade used to be.

Any ideas? FWIW, this is a session that was started in PT11, did some tracking at another location in PT12 and now I'm back to working in 11 to do my edits.

THanks!
Geoff

Check that you're not using the Grabber separation tool (scissor). It will effectively cut the crossfade.
