Default Venue Stand-alone software compatability

I recently purchased an intel Mac. and I'm running OS 10.5.8

I"m absolutely livid!! that the Standalone system controller is not compatible with Mac OS.

I'm an engineer that does work both LIve and Studio. It is incredibly frustrating that a premiere product from digi ( the D-show,Venue, SC 47) can not be operated with out having to run a poor operating system like windows.

Will Digi be fixing this over sight?? or am I going to be stuck with having to buy PC related stuff.

Frustrated.

All of the Venue products ARE running Windows. Whats incredibly frustrating is the fact that Apple wouldn't license the OS. Be glad its not running Linux

BootCamps the answer.

Thank-you...

I'm just frustrated to have to go through another expense ( purchasing Windows OS) to be able to use my Digi gear.

Why didn't DIGI write the soft ware for both PC and Mac users??

This issue has been asked and answered in detail on this forum. (just search a bit). I got OEM Windows software (which is much cheaper than normal) from Fry's for about $100 and then used Bootcamp which comes with Mac. I must be a pushover but I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

I have a Macbook pro and a Macpro running OS X 10.6.3, and Virtualbox (free download) running XP. Both are able to run stand-alone ver. 2.7 with no problems. I never was able to get 2.8.1 running. I just set them up tonight, so we'll see how it goes.
