Default "Snap to previous/next" modifier?

I seem to remember there was a modifier key to constrain lateral clip movement. This would allow dragging clips left or right in the timeline, "butting" them against nearby clips.

Basically the same thing as "Snap To.." but quicker. Does anyone know it? Does it not exist?

does not include dragging, but :
click the first clip
TAB (insertion is the right border of the first clip)
START-click the second clip
TAB
START-click the third clip
TAB
...

(butting up the right clips to the left)
(Link Timeline and Edit Selection on)
(Mac : Ctrl-click)

You must be in Slip mode for Joachim's method to work. In Shuffle you can also highlight the space between Clips and delete the space. Or you can Right Click on the Clip you want to move and select "Snap to Previous" or "Snap to Next".

Cheers,

Works for me in Grid Mode as well, clips butt up disregarding the grid.
TAB goes to end of clip, not to the nearest grid thereafter.

I was just looking to save a few keystrokes and mouse clicks. There are several ways to do it, I'll just deal with it.

My usual methods are spotting, or engaging snap to grid after setting the grid to "markers and clips".

Thanks, everyone.
