Default Recording mesa "slave/studio out" into Mbox2 pro

I'm looking to record 2 different mesa mk series heads (quad pre and mk11c+)....one has "slave" out, the other "studio" out... I'm using impuses for the cabs. Which input is proper for this? Mbox2 pro DI (1 and 2) or MBox2 pro analog line in (3 and 4) ?

any other suggestions, thanks

To be honest I can't remember. Just try both & see which one sounds best. You won't break anything.

From my experience, depending on the sort of music you're recording, I'd suggest you just mic the cabinet. I've tried the Line 6 POD and all sorts of simulators & plugins after I've recorded by way of DI etc.. straight into Protools. Nothing sounds as good as a well mic'ed amp. Even just a Shure sm57 mic works great for a lot of sounds.

I spent too long playing with Pods etc..Lucky now I've discovered how much better a mic is.

good luck!
