Default Triton and PTLE MIDI made me nuts!

Here are my MIDI related problems:

1--On the Triton 61, I hit the Global button and there is NO MIDI page.
2--I have both MIDI & Aux tracks in my session and the Aux for audio is doing it's job but the MIDI track seems to have no output to the 001 so I can monitor and listen to playback.
3--I get signal on the MIDI track and it records. I see all the events in the edit window for that track--but it does not play back, obviously.

I have been reading Triton related stuff on the DUC for 2 hours now (found out about the Names app and names list, thanx!). I am presuming my problem starts with not getting into the Triton's Global MIDI page to disable something BUT why can't I get an output on the MIDI track to A12S/PDIFL like all the other tracks for playback??

thanx in advance,

tO GET TO THE mIDI PAGE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ON THE TRITON LE.

1) SELECT GLOBAL
2) HIT MENU
3) SELECT MIDI
4) HIT OPEN
5) tURN LOCAL CONTROL ON

MOST OF THE REST OF THE MIDI FUNCTIONS ARE IN COMBO OR PRESET MODES WHICH ARE ALSO ACCESSES THROUGH THE MENU. I KNOW IT IS A PAIN BUT IT EVENTUALLY STARTS TO MAKE SENSE.

ALSO IN TERMS OF YOUR SETUP. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE DEPENDING ON WHAT MODE YOUR IN THAT YOU ARE TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING THE CORRECT MIDI CHANNELS. THIS IS DONE EITHER IN THE PRESETS OR COMBO MODE IUNDER THE MENU SECTION ON THE TRITON

Thanx.
I did not mention that the Menu button was not working right--gummed up or something. Hitting it was producing no way to access MIDI controls.

Ooooops

"I did not mention that the Menu button was not working right--gummed up or something."

Sounds like time for it to get returned for a cleaning, or parts replacement. :-( Not fun.
