Default BIOS time/date not saved

Recently every time we boot up our D-Show, we get multiple errors when the plugin racks are initializing because the system time and date is not being maintained anymore when we power down. We have to reset them each time. We've had our console a number of years, so is this a case of an internal battery wearing out or what? It's not a show stopper, just an inconvenience.

It sounds fairly likely. I would replace the battery and see how you go from there.

Agreed. I think 5 years is about the most to expect from those batteries(and you want them replaced before they leak, depending on the type of battery).

Thanks. Has anyone replaced the battery on a D-Show before? Any ideas where to find it in the FOH rack?

It will be on the main board in the FOH rack, where all the processing happens.

Hi,

Contact the support team venuesupport(at)avid(dot)com. I believe they have a doc that explains how to replace the battery in the FOH Rack.
