Default digi002r looses firewire connection during session

Hey, this just started happening today. i was editing a session and all the sudden my firewire connection was lost. the interface didnot turn off..just the connection was lost. I restarted my 002r and it worked. then the same thing happened 15 minutes later. anyone know whats up with this. i have a 2ghz g5 with osx, that and my 002r are just about a month old.
