Default Mbox and Logic Audio

Sorry if this is a old topic.

Does the Mbox work with Logic Audio or just prottools.

Interested in purchasing one if it works with Logic

Cheers

I've been told there's a driver made by propagamma - although I haven't checked it out personally. They probably have a website.

http://www.usb-audio.com has an Asio driver for Mbox. Should work with Logic.

Kim.

Hello. Right now it works but not fully. Digidesign released an ASIO driver in Beta form back in November, then updated it in February. The two main bugs is that it disables the MIDI ports on your Digidesign hardware (not an issue with the Mbox) and it disables the Wave Driver (can't hear computer sounds through the Mbox). They are shooting for June or July for a fully functional, bug free ASIO driver. You can use Logic with this driver, as well as other ASIO compatible software. Check the downloads link for the ASIO driver info.

If you use Logic Platinum version 5.5 you can use the Mbox without the USB Programma ASIO driver...

When using that driver its necessary to disable all digi extensions and create a new extension set, which involves starting and restarting when using Logic, which can be a pain....

The Programma driver works fine, but I've gotten some weirdness occasionally when attempting to bounce with a "Direct i/o not available" message..
