Default A general wondering about RTAS files

What happens to RTAS files (.dpm etc.) if you uninstall Pro Tools or on the other hand if your doing a full system restore what happens if you install the plugins before Pro Tools.

For what ever reason I decided to un RAID my 2 drives from factory setup an seperate them into two seperate drives, Having needed to install W7 fresh and all the drivers Im finding that Pro Tools is working. . . less well, running out of juice alot faster, crashing when loading more than 1 VI, Crashing upon save so that no work can be saved.
