Default OOPs, Just Bought a New Control 24

I just bought a New Control 24 from Sweet you know who.
Don't know what rev. the power supply is but after reading
these threads I may be in trouble.

If I do have an older revision board, I'm wondering if I could
send it to Digi to get the hardware updated for free.
I would think they would do this.

Thanks for any help.

You should be OK. I bought one from them last October and it was the latest revision then (don't remember the serial no. right now and am not at studio) and so far so good, knock on wood. It was my understanding at the time that the supply problems had been worked out by that version.

I will still contend that they have not worked out the power supply issues. I've had nothing but trouble and the power supply they just sent me is showing signs of failing already.

Look at the serial #. The last letter should be "H" or later!
I've had an "H" revision for the past 9 months with ZERO problems!

Bruce

Congrats... I'm away from my C24 at the moment but i assume the supply they sent me in July is the latest. I'm pretty sure the one they sent me the previous time was the latest as well, but I dont know.
I do know that the PS they just sent me is showing some signs of failure already. Dimming scribble strips and a 5-8 db loss in volume on inputs 1-2.
If this issue was completely fixed I would assume you would see something from Digi about this. At the moment I have never seen them even address the issue.
I find it funny that I used to get a hassle when the PS would go. I was even told at one point I was on my own. The last time it failed, I was told its now warrantied for 4 years.... which is good and I'm thankfull for that.....but it doesnt seem like they are to confident that they fixed the problem..
