Pro Tools 11 or 12?
I just built a new PC, i7 4.0 GHz, 16Mb ram, WD Black HDs. I have been using PT 10.3.10 and it works good but I want to finally go 64 bit Pro Tools. I have licenses for both 11 & 12 and was just curious as to the DUC's preferences. Any info is a help. Thanks!

Re: Pro Tools 11 or 12?
12 has a bunch more features, and timeline cache is a performance enhancer. Go with 12.
When you get a chance, try to upgrade your RAM too. 16 megabytes isn't very much

Re: Pro Tools 11 or 12?
Thanks for the help. I also forgot to mention I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I can go as high as 32 GB ram but I'm gonna stick with 16 GB for now.

Re: Pro Tools 11 or 12?
I was joking about the RAM thing, because you typed MB but clearly meant GB.
PT12 is compatible with Win7 64 bit.

Re: Pro Tools 11 or 12?
Most of the issues I had with 11 are gone with 12. I'd say grab 12.2.1 and never look back.

Wow there's that fat finger again. Yes I meant 16GB ram.

What issues did you have with PT 11?

Re: Pro Tools 11 or 12?
Constant access violations when I tried to record, and an almost worthless video engine.
