New Pro Tools system
I am in the process of getting a Pro Tool Mix Plus System and have the following questions that I would appreciate some advice on.
1) Besides the slot issue are there any disadvantages to using the just discontinued beige G3 to run Pro Tools? I'm buying a new Mac to do this system and could buy a 9600 but would rather for price and size use the G3. 2) Can I use an ultra wide drive sold for a PC on a Mac? I see cheetah prices that are much cheaper. If I buy one and format it Mac are there any issues? ------------------ Joe West

Re: New Pro Tools system
Joe: get the 9600 if you can, have 6 slots, and works great. I have a ProTools system,
1 Mix core 2 DSp Farm 1 Adaptec Dual channel 1 Video CArd 196 ram working great since October 98, Look at the compatibility chart for the drives. |
