bootcamp was a nitemare for me..my system crashed daily. tried reinstalling etc, eventually decided to leave my mac for music use only. having an "all in one" machine with my pc and mac world all on mac was a very expensive venture that failed.

dendee,
I have to ask the question because I have read a lot of articles (not just here but all over the net) where people are saying that XP keeps crashing and is unstable. Did you intall the boot camp drivers after loading the OS? After installing XP it will be unstable until you load the drives. While booted into XP, insert the MAC OS 10.5 installation disk 1. If auto run is enabled you will see the Boot Camp driver installation launch. Just follow the instructions on screen to load System, NIC, Firewire, USB, etc... drivers. If the auto run is not enabled just launch install from the DVD. Check Apple web-site for more info: Keyword - Bootcamp

I would have to agree, I don't use bootcamp anymore but when I did, I never had problems, except for the fact that it was windows

EGS,

I don't remember the buffer setting, but I'm guessing it was 1024, because I always get errors at 128. That's the one thing about running PT on Bootcamp - I find it impossible to work at a buffer setting lower than 256.

Tone was recorded for 1 minute. Sample rate 44.1. The message I got was 9073.

Try the DVERB2 stress test with parameters set EXACTLY as explained at the bottom of the first post of THIS thread. (Should be 24bit/48k for 5 minutes at 1024.) Thanks.
