Ideal versions OS+PT+Computer
Hi there !
I'm the happy owner of 3 Mac Pro : - 2006 - 2009 Quad 2.66 - 2010 Quad 2.8 1 month ago, I was using 2009 mac pro/PT HD 8 and in the beginning, I had lot of issues with Leopard and PT8. After a lot of tests, I stopped with 8.0.4 with Snow Leopard. Recently, I just entered a new studio using 2006 MP with PT8 and 10.5.8. I tried to transfer it on the 2010 MP but I had issues again. I'm now searching for the better environnement possible with this 2010 MP, going to reinstall PT8 and the OS (not in that order for sure !). But I have a big question : why Avid can't make an "Excel Table" with the better versions of osx/pthd according to the MacPro ? Cause, for an exemple, in the requirements of the last PTHD8 version (8.1.1), there is no 10.6.8 !! But in 8.0.5 requirements I see it ! Please Avid, just tell us how we can make PT HD stable ... once and for all ! :)

Re: Ideal versions OS+PT+Computer
Hi. My 2008 2.8GHz. 8-Core MacPro is rock-solid with OS 10.5.8 and PT 8.0.3cs2. Good luck on your setup.
Jeff
