actually if you look in the digi forum for the settings and recomendations there is a link to a program that removes all the stuff for you in one click. it's a nice little tool and i always keep it on my desktop. 9 times out of 10 it fixes my issues and i alway make sure to disable errors. you can do that where you set the sample rate.

yep, that's the one :) always keep it handy on your desktop. but honestly guys i work in logic 9 90% of the time. 10 year protools user. i got sick of having to fix errors and do this all the time. and omg using a pc with protools was 10 times worse. the mac helped a lot though as i didn't have to configure and tweak as much.

really? egh, i just got sick of having to disable all those background services i needed sometimes and re enabling them and disableing ethernet but that was at a time when pentium 4 was the hotest thing but things have changed so maybe theres not so much a need to tweak so much to squeeze every little ounce of processing power because back then it was needed! With the mac i just turned off sleep mode and was pretty much ready to go. but anyways like you said thats another thread :)

Just to throw in here, I am having the exact same issues, but with a different interface (Mbox2 Pro). I know I've trashed prefs, but I'm not so sure about databases. Wasn't sure that that was a separate step. Gonna have to look into that.

Lookin' through the forum, I'm seeing references to an 8.0.3. Is that out already? Would 0.2 or 0.3 fix any of these issues? Or are those just updates for Snow Leopard compatibility?

Can you please post a list of installed plug-ins using the Tech Support Folder from the General Troubleshooting thread?

The reason I ask - I have yet to see someone actually remove all incompatible/outdated plug-ins. Who knows - maybe one of you will be the first. The problems you're experiencing seem likely plug-in related, so I'd like to verify for myself that you have only compatible plug-ins installed.

One other area to look - bad RAM. The only way to test is to replace, remove or swap for known good RAM. The RAM test tools are virtually worthless in that I don't think I've ever seen one catch a bad RAM situation.

They can help; occasionally the memory test application will crash during the test, which is a good sign that the RAM is bad.

Here is my current plugin version list. However, I don't think it's entirely complete. Right off the bat, I see it mentions my SoundToys bundle, but it doesn't say anything about it, what versions everything is, etc.
