Default Audio dropout while using pro tools ultimate demo

Hello, I recently installed the pro tools ultimate demo to decide if I want to upgrade from pro tools 11. I am experiencing audio drop outside when I have plugins on tracks. When I disable the plugins the audio is fine. I am using a PC with windows 8. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 8? That may be an issue. As to optimizations, have a look here.

Not quite the same issue, but worth an read.

Also, is your driver up-to-date for the BabyFace?

Is this the same computer that was running Pro Tools 11? Did you uninstall that first?

Audio dropouts... with what plugins?

What session sample rate?

Make sure ignore errors is *not* checked. You want to see errors... if you do what exact error do you get?

Make sure Windows sound is not trying to use the same interface.

Post a SiSoft Sandra report.... as asked for in the “help us help you” link, pretty much expected here.

Hopefully Windows 8.1 not Windows 8, but don’t answer just post the Sandra report. Look at other reports posted on DUC to make sure you provide the right stuff.

I am using Windows 8.1 and I am not getting an error. The audio doesn't play as if it is muted when I have certain plugins active. When I make the plugins inactive, the audio plays. One of the particular plugins in Maag Eq from Plugin Alliance. Here is my Sandra Report.

Whoa only 8GB of memory. The formal system requirements for Pro Tools is 16GB. If building a new computer now I would install 32GB. (4x 8GB DIMMs). The maximum memory that CPU support.

However that may not explain audio dropouts. With ignore errors not checked... I hope to see Pro Tools crashing with an error.

Through further research the problem seems to work with the plugin alliance plugins like bx_digital etc.

I don't think those are the problem.
I know you said you did the optimizations but did you really? Delete all the crapware Dell puts on? Turn off all unneeded services?
I don't know if this matters but how is the ram populated? Both slots filled in one bank or spread out between the two banks? Speaking of ram you really will need to buy more ram. Crucial and others have ram for your machine and you can put in 32 gig ( 2 slots in each module x 2 modules x 8 gig per stick for 32 gig total).
