Default Assertion in....Error

Hi there,

I have a severe problem with my ProTools 10. I´ve been working this session for quiet some time and everything used to work perfectly. Now I´ve been getting the attached error message when starting playback of a highlighted playlist clip. I can´t do anything in ProTools from then on. I can only manually shut it down by using the task manager. the problem occurs again after restarting.

here´s a picture of the error: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...03um133729.png

written out it sais: Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/ws.Ludwig/Altura Ports/PT4_App/Macbuild/../../NewFileLibs/Time/Time_TypedBase.h", line 140

The last number changes every time I get the error. When I click ok it just pops back up.

I have deleted the pro tools databases and tried to delete the digidesign files in the preferences folder, unfortunately there were no digidesign files in there though
.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

My system:

Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Did anybody fix this problem? I´ve reworked an older version and now the error is back.

Did you read the link I provided you?

It's a known potential problem with a well documented fix for most occurrences.
There are some occurrences that fall out side of the norm but if you wont play be the rules you won't get any help

I don't want to sound like a hard ass but if you havent tried the things that usually work and don't tell us what you have done to trouble shoot we can't help you

of course I did! I also added quiet a lot information in my first post. But the problem remains.

The threads about these insertions errors I found were not actually helpful either. I did try everything I could find though - Like using the protools database helper or deleting those files myself.

When I get this message it's often when Pro Tools is running really short on memory. I always keep OSX's Activity Monitor running in the background to keep an eye on it.

On my Mac Pro it happens when Pro Tools is using around 2.3 GB of memory. Pro Tools itself will throw up a Memory warning at 2.7/2.8GB on my system but I've usually long since crashed before I see that.

I get these somewhat regularly when passing sessions around from room to room. I've always suspected that it was corrupt media. I usually create a brand new session and then import all of the tracks from the problem session and copy all of the media.
