mbox protools plays at wrong speed

Hello.. any help would be appreciated, I have done a forum search.

I am running an Mbox on a new-style ibook 600, maxed out with RAM. Audio plays back very fast in Protools, as if a 44.1 session is running at 48. No external device is connected for it to be clocking from.

Anyone heard of this problem? Digi?

Check PTLE session setup (Windows; Session Setup), and Setups: Hardware to be sure of your session sample rate...it sounds like somehow you are doing exactly as you have surmised...playing back a 44.1 file at 48...and since I'm not familiar enough with the M-Box, perhaps there is something/somewhere on the hardware that is mechanically setting this rate also...
