Dual Atto and old Media Dock Problems

Hi ,

we just get a Dual Atto SCSI 3 controller card instead of 2 single controller cards, working with an old Media Dock, but the 9600 won´t start up. If i turn down the hard drives(Media Shuttles) it will boot perfect. In the Atto software i can see the unmounted drives, but if i try to mount them, there is no effect. The card works perfect with external normal (no media shuttle) UW drives.

any suggestions which button to use in the atto software??

I had a similar problem with an atto psci card on a 9600. It would not start up with drives powered up. The workaround I discovered was to power up drives after computer had booted up and mount them with FWB. Quite a pain and certainly not a good sign to overall system health.

It was not critical, the atto/9600 combo was the product of some testing I was doing, but nevertheless I called atto tech support with no resolve, and then dropped the issue for good.

Since then, the same atto card has been installed in a G4 and it works fine.
