TC Electronic Vintage Delay MIDI tempo

Hey,

I've got a great sounding guitar delay pedal, TC Electronics Vintage Delay. It has a MIDI input to control on/off and tap tempo... now I want to record a song with this delay EXACTLY on time using MIDI... but I have no idea how to get it working...

I use the first MBox (lightblue and grey) with no MIDI output. I have a M-Audio Axiom 25 USB MIDI keyboard which has a combined MIDI out/through port. I want to know how I tell ProTools (LE 7.4) to output data via USB to my keyboard and through to the delay pedal.

MIDI - Two functions can be externally controlled from and external MIDI device sending MIDI CC’s.

Send MIDI CC 20 to control the Tap Tempo.
Send MIDI CC 21 to switch the delay On/Off.

Can somebody help me out?? I'm new to MIDI and I have no idea how to get this working...

How to "tap tempo" on tc vintage delay:

- send 4 midi events to tc vintage delay on channel 1

- event 1: Note on + midi cc 20 = 127
- event 2: Midi cc 20 = 0
- event 3: Midi cc 20 = 127
- event 4: Midi cc 20 = 0


it's crucial that event 1 also contains a "note on" event
without the note on event, the cc's do not register
the "tap" is the change between cc20=127 and cc20=0
