midi timing issue in 6.8 and 7
I've had this problem since the initial release of m-powered and was never able to find a solution. I had hoped version 7 would alleviate my troubles but unfortunatly it has not so I will post again hoping someone else has expirienced this and knows what's going on.
For some reason, any midi being sent to any destination, either a softsynth or hardware through the audiophile 2496 midi out plays back with extremely inconsistant timing. I've adjusted the buffer size and the DAE playback engine level up and down, back and forth and it has no effect on this. hardware: ASUS P5T-533 C MoBo P4 2.4 Ghz non HT 1 Gig PC1066 RDRAM 2x40 Gig HD's Delta Audiophile 2496 I've been trying to migrate to Pro Tools as my main DAW since the relase of M-Powered, but since I do a large amount of MIDI programming, this has been impossible. |
