Question Connecting drive to interface?

Gateway X2800, Quad Core CPU, 2.5.
Windows XP Pro
Digidesign 003 Rack
Pro Tools 8
4 Gigs of Ram
No attached peripherals.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but is it possible to connect an external drive to the available firewire port in my 003 Rack interface? My problem is, I don't have room for an internal drive, and the single firewire port on my PC is used for the interface. Thanks!

It is usually recommended to use a drive with dual firewire ports, and then chain like this: computer->drive->interface.
