Cheapest way to upgrade?
I’ve recently upgraded to an M1 Mac mini using Big Sur which means I need to upgrade Pro Tools as well. I’ve used PT 11 for years, on a perpetual license.
It seems I need to crossgrade so I can update to a version that works on my new Mac, but I personally can’t justify an annual payment of £99 just for updates and Avid plugins (never mind £200) so what would happen if I was to cancel my subscription after one year? Would I be left with a fully functioning version of PT forever (if I remain on the same OS), I just won’t have access to future updates & plugins? Or does it mean no access to PT at all? Thanks in advance.
