Default What cabling and connections into todays studios?

I'm looking into some suggestions about what types of cabling would be wise to install in between a studio and a control room in today's situation. It's a Post Production place that would like to do music recording as well. Bunch of CAT5 in addition to analog pairs? Opticals, if so then what kind?

I'm using Vovox cabling for analog and AES/EBU.

Check out http://www.vovox.com

Dirk

Greetings,
Dirk
They claim that their cables have DIRECTIONALITY

Quote:
Running direction
VOVOX® sound conductors offer their full potential when they are used in the correct direction. Regardless of the application, the best results will be achieved by plugging the cable end with the VOVOX® label into the signal receiver. In the case of XLR cables, the correct direction is unavoidable, as there is only one way to connect the cable and receiver.

In case of wrong alignment, VOVOX® sound conductors will work properly, and there will be no damage to the connected equipment. But to optimize the cable’s use, follow the directions above.

Uh, yeah. Right.
