Avid OMNI HD Native with Apple M1

Hi

I´m trying out the new M1 Mac Mini and so far it´s stunning, PT runs insanely smooth and quick and no plug in-problems.

However, I´m having troubles connecting my HD Native Thunderbolt-box and OMNI interface. Pro Tools don´t find it in hardware, but the computer does
in systeminformation. I obviously know that avid dont support M1 at this point but I figured it runs so flawless except from this little (?) detail so it would be a shame going back. PT runs perfectly fine with a apogee duet interface.

So, has anyone succeeded in running a HD Native thunderbolt and OMNI on the M1 so far and if so, how did you do it?

My setup is:

Apple M1 Mac mini
Pro Tools 2021.3
Avid HD Native thuderbolt (with apple original usb c-thunderbolt adaptor)
Avid OMNI

I also had the same experience with an M1 and HDN. Gotta wait.

There are no HDX or HD Native drivers.
That's not a little detail -- that's pretty much the stumbling block for all hardware. Only user-mode drivers work unless specifically written -- which would be when Pro Tools is officially qualified for the M1 chip.

Only reason you can run Pro Tools now is the iLok drivers shifted to user mode a while back. Otherwise, the copyright protection would have prevented Pro Tools from running. But audio hardware (like video hardware) isn't going to be able to run as user mode since there are major issues with timing/speed of communication.
