Need MIDI help

I have an Alesis QS6.2 synthesizer, and I am trying to use the midi out into my eleven rack midi in so I can use the virtual instruments in pro tools 10. Can anyone please tell me how to set this up?

Midi OUT from the keyboard to Midi IN on the 11r. Open PT and go to Setup>Midi>Midi Studio. Create a new instrument and name it what you like. Model and brand are optional. Select the port for midi input(in this case, the Eleven Rack Midi in). Leave all 16 Midi channels in blue. Close the window. Create a stereo Instrument track. Insert your desired plugin(try MiniGrand for testing) in the top insert slot(Slot A). Give the plugin a few seconds to load. Put the track in record and play the keyboard.
