Logic 7 on an 002/G5?

I've been told by a dealer that Logic 7 will can be used with the 002 hardware if the latest version of LE is loaded. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with this?

I will be selling mine shortly due to frustration with Apple/Emagic support.
I simply am not happy with the support I am getting.
I have Logic Pro 6.4.3 Pro (upgraded from logic 5 Platinum to 6 platinum then to 6 Pro).
So you can use Logic 5.x (including PC version, Logic 6 Pro including all the Soft instruments like EXS24, EVP88 etc...)

Then you can upgrade to Logic 7 Pro for $299.-.

I've been using Logic Pro 7 with a 002r for a few months at one studio. I don't think it's an issue of which PTLE version is installed but which Core Audio Driver is installed. I'm using Core Audio 6.7 and it's working well enough... there's a video glitch with Logic so it crashes 2 or 3 times a day, particularly when I'm using a scroll bar. Annoying, but it does work. It has taught me to save often, every time it occurs to me to save. Also, Logic sometimes loses the firewire connection with the 002, about once every few days. This is usually preceded by the audio starting to click and break up. Annoying, but it does work. I haven't had the time to research how to really fix my system, so I've just been dealing with it.

My verdict: not great, just okay

G5 dual 1.8, OS 10.3.7, PTLE 6.4 002r, Logic Pro 7, Reaktor Session, Stormdrum, Kontakt, Reason 2.5

I think the M audio stuff is more geared to logic / cubase users since

they have had a better core audio record

Stay away from Digi products if you want to use other software. The Digi coreaudio drives, especially in conjuction with Logic, SUCK!! They're the absolute worst. Get yourself an M-Audio interface (or really, anything other than digi) and you'll be much happier in Logic.
