Default Video Fire Wire out Scrambled

Whenever I convert a .mov file to .dv to enable me to run it from my firewire out to a canopus box the video ends up looking pretty scrambled.

It runs fine on the computer screen but not on the firewire out.

It think it happened when I upgraded to Ptools 10 (LE) and changed to OS7

Sessions from before the upgrade still play absolutely fine when opened in PT 10, so the firewire and canopus is ok, but anything I now convert is scrambled.
I've tried a couple of different conversion programmes for the vid file and it's the same prob.
