Default Propellerhead Software announced "Rack Extensions" for Reason

This is Great news if you ask me. Propellerhead just announced Rack Extensions to be used in the (free) Reason 6.5 update. It isn't VST, but it keeps everything in Reason and stable. Requirements are that you will have to be a business entity. It will also include "sandboxing" so the plugin will not bring down the DAW. There will be a 70/30 split share (70% being your cut) for all plugins, and will be hosted all in the new Reason App Store that will be baked directly into Reason. For more info, check out these two links.

They should have a video of the presser soon. Let me see if it is up.

Here is the Video.

Seems like it will be good. I like that they have a decent amount of developers already working on it.

Also the three new effects are Rack Extensions, so some of the code was already in 6. 6.5 will come out in the summer as a free upgrade for all owners.
