Default Xpand2 Sustain Pedal Bug?

First off, I hope that maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

In an effort to conserve system resources, I decided to experiment with using Xpands multitimberal abilities. Instead of using 4 separate instances of Xpand2 for 4 separate sounds, I wanted to use one.

I put Xpand2 on a stereo aux track. I then created 4 MIDI tracks. One for drums, one bass, one piano, and one trumpet. I just wanted to use separate sounds so I could clearly tell what was playing and what wasn't.

I routed each MIDI track output to a different MIDI input on Xpand2. For example the output on the MIDI drum track was Xpand2 1 Channel-1, the bass was Xpand2 1 Channel-2, you get the idea.

What I found was that the sustain pedal data that I used on the piano MIDI track was also affecting the other tracks. When the piano track was sustaining, the trumpet and bass were sustaining as well. When I muted the piano track, the sustain data no longer effects the other tracks.

I tried to see if other data was doing the same time and pitch bend data does not behave this way.

Like I said, maybe this is by design? Or maybe there's a setting I don't know about, but its kind of disappointing.

I tried loading a the "Easy Ballad" patch from under multitimbral group in the preset menu thinking maybe these patch were setup for multitimral use. It had the same effect.

Any ideas?

Nothing? Has anybody else seen this? Or am I missing something?
