Default Problems with MIDI polyphony

Hey guys,
I'm trying to use Battery 2 with Protools 6.9, but I am having problems.
Battery works fine in my other software, but when using it in Protools it drops out on some of the notes that are there. I can put 16 16th notes in a bar, but they won't all play. I figured it was something to do with the Battery settings, but they are the same as what I use in Cubase.
This isn't an issue of whether my system is powerful enough, because I can easily run 40 tracks with effects. Any ideas??

I've experienced this too.. I hadn't spent enoug time trouble shooting to find a fix..

one thing I did suspect might be a wierd sorta fix would be to write half the midi notes (e.g. C 1 through C 4) on one midi track, then half on another.. C 1 to C 4 was a total example, so.. it'll probably have to be.. like.. more narrow than that.

unless anyone knows of a cool third party program.. I know Live 4 is rewire enabled. I wonder if there's a way to track down drums within Live, import them over to PT, then be set from there?

just throwing that out there.. good luck with it, mate..

I'm experiencing this issue as well. I just posted this at the NI Yahoo group:

I am utilizing Battery 2 as an RTAS plug-in in ProTools 6.4 LE (XP
SP1a). If I program more than one hit to sound simultaneously, only
one (or none) of the hits will sound. (This occurs with MIDI demo
files as well.) I am not utilizing any other plug-ins, nor does the
session have any other tracks. I have set maximum polyphony from 32
to 256; no change. System resources are not being taxed. Has anyone
else experienced this? I have a feeling I'm missing something very
stupid and basic. Thank you.

I'll let you know if I receive any responses.

I have the same problem with Battery1 and Cubase Sx.
Now I sequence only with PT (6.9) using Battery1 (wrapped to RTAS or Rewire)
I don't experience the problem.

I suppose it's not a PT issue.

Thanks. I used the wrapper and now it seems to be fine.
