Default OT - wiring a vocal booth

I'm in the process of building a vocal booth and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to run XLR and headphones cables into the booth. Ideally I'd like to have wall plates on the outside and inside of the booth that are connected on the inside of the wall. Then I could just plug in from either side. Is there a way to do this without soldering anything? I have no soldering experience. I found a "Panel Mount XLR Feed Thru Barrel Connector" that is female on both sides (made by TecNec here). It's really nothing more than a cable extender that happens to mount into a rack panel. If I could find one of these for 1/4" TRS I'd be set. Does this item exist? Or is there a better way to do this? Thanks in advance.

ahh man,
learn to solder! I'll admit I haven't touched the iron in ages, but.. just knowing how can really keep your quality on the up. if I was building a vocal booth and didn't want to grab my iron, I'd just drill a hole and run a cable straight out, but then you'll get some bleeding (very little, but still could be a problem, depending on the location of the booth). so.. you're best bet is to buy a plate and just have at it with the soldering bit. while soldering is a bit of a craft, it isn't too difficult, and there's gotta be a ton of websites around the that'll offer tips, etc..

hope this made sense, I didn't get any sleep last night =D

...any comments doc?

Also, you can order the "inside" & "outside" plates prewired from Rapco distributors. This way you can still get the same result without touching the iron. You just need to make sure that the plate will fit through your cutout. You can also choose the type / color of metal & have it engraved per your specifications.
