Default DAE 6045 errors, why????

I've been getting DAE 6045 errors with my Digi 001 and Fw800 G4 dp1.25 lately and I'm getting annoyed. They're totally random but seem happen mostly during playback. My sessions usually have between 10 and 18 audio tracks a few aux's, 20+/- plugs, and no midi. I've upgraded to 6.1.1, upped my buffer level and they're still happening, did I forget anything? Thanks!

Are you recording to the internal system drive or a dedicated drive for audio? Running big sessions off of the internal stock drive will give you trouble...
What types of plug-ins? 20 or so can be too much depending on how cpu intensive they are. What does the cpu usage meter show in PT? Is the meter pegged?

Try raising the DAE playback buffer to level 4 and going to the highest H/W buffer size.

I often run sessions similar to what you are describing and have not seen any 6045's.
If you do not need all the plug-ins active at one time you can free up DSP by <CONTROL + COMMAND> clicking on the insert. This keeps all their settings and automation intact but frees up some DSP.

Hi, I'm recording to a dedicated internal audio only drive that I reformat between sessions. For plugs I'm using Waves Renn eq, 2 Reverbs, comp, vintage warmer, and a couple of digi gates. According to the resources meter, I'm only using around 60-70% of my cpu's. I've already upped the DAE buffer to 4, but it's still happening, though less frequently. It's strange, somedays it won't happen at all, and other times it happens constantly. I've even had it happen while tracking, without plugs and system resources at or below 20% It's weird.

My audio drive is on the ATA66 bus, could that have anyting to do with it? I figured it'd be better there, instead of on the ATA100 bus where it'd be competing with the system drive for bandwidth.
Thanks
Mike

I noticed in your original post you said that you've recently updated to version 6.1.1
Were you getting these 6045's prior to that on similar sessions? Maybe try trashing the DAE and DigiSetup preferences?

After I updated to 6.1.1, all my PTLE preferences got hosed and I had to reset them all.
