I can nolonger reinstate. If i go subscription based then I lose my original perpetual license.

This is by far the greediest company I have seen.
I mean I bought Chassis Hdx cards software , Damn digilink License.
Wtf. Donot update no more. I am staying at 2018.10.

They will eventually loose big on screwing over their base.
It wasnt the big studios that made them. It was us!!!!!!!!!!!
It remind me countries like mine that need more income and rise taxes. Then companies migrate to other countries. Absolutely crazy.

I cross-graded to Nuendo over the summer during Steinberg's last sale offer, so it looks like it's going to be Studio One for music and Nuendo for Post. I'll keep my perpetual PT license for conversions while I dig deeper into Nuendo.

It's rumored that Presonus will release Studio One 4.6 next week, and Stenberg will add all of the latest goodies that were included in the Cubase 10.5 update to Nuendo first quarter of 2020.

There are options...

'' It's high time for a walk on the real side
Let's admit the b******* beat us
I move to dissolve the corporation
In a pool of margaritas
So let's switch off all the lights
Light up all the Luckies
Crankin' up the afterglow
Cause we're goin' out of business
Everything must go. ''

Sing this to yourself.

It's a shame really.

In theory someone could have bought Pro Tools Ultimate for $2499 in October 2018 and if they let their license lapse past 31st October 2019 they have no upgrade options at all? Other than to buy the software again? Seems extremely harsh to me...
I cannot update my old Adobe or Microsoft without subscription so what was your point again?

Ok, let me get this straight. I have the perpetual and an active plan until December 2020. If I decide to stop the plan, wait for more than an year I no longer can reinstate?

Don’t know but since I switched to Avid, it seems.....gimme a rest will you??
