Default creating DAE objects

Hey all
i know this has been mentioned before, as i have already done some searching.. but i cant figure out to get overcome this problem. When i am booting up pro tools, it freezes on Creating DAE objects.
is this a software problem? 002 problem or PC problem??
i have managed to get pro tools to load once, after reinstalling digi drivers, but after a reboot, same old problem.

any ideas on how to overcome this.

I am running Win XP. pro tools 7.1

Thanks all!!

Dan

Hi,

I think i finally undertood what is this all about. It seems (or at least in my case) the PC detects the 003 but when you launch protools there is not enough communication (?) or it's not communicating properly between the PC/003 & Software. My solution? unplug and plug the Firewire cable from the port.

I have done it at least 10 times and it worked, the only problem i have is, i dont want to [bleep] up my firewire ports by doing this everytime.

Does anyone with a similar problem?
