Default Inserting bars

I’ve been trying to insert bars but can’t do it the way that the tempo changes move. Any help would be appreciated.

By saying tempo changes not moving I mean, I have a tempo change in bar 9 and when I try to insert/add two bars before bar 9 I expect the tempo change move to bar 11 but that does not happen.

Just tried this with 2019.12 and it is working as expected -- tempo change moving forward. Are you sure you are doing it right? There is a selection for Realign: Meter ruler only, or "everything"

Just tried it 5 times in a row at various project spots and I can't get it to fail either.. I had some radical tempo changes, one on every 1/4 beat and they all moved forward perfectly.

When you insert time, an option should come up that literally asks you if you want to move the ruler only or underneath there is a checkbox to basically move everything, including of course tempo.. are you sure this is checked? I really hope it's just something simple like this for you :)

Anyway I just wanted to confirm that it definitely works here also.

EDIT...I don't know OP if your profile is up to date but it says you are running PT 7.4.2, and I definitely can not confirm if it works there however. I didn't even start with PT till version 11.
My replies are based on the latest pro tools build and a relatively up to date computer.

I run protools 2019.12 also. My problem was that I copied the first two bars and tried to insert it before the tempo change. The tempo in this instance does not move forward.
Could you give me the steps please
Thank u
