Unhappy can't load PT, stops at Waveshell-Dae 5.0.dpm
Mastering apt. tomorrow. I just need to make a few adj. to mix but can't open PT. It stops loading at Waveshell-Dae 5.0dpm

Any advice?

More info please. What version of PT? Waves 5.0 probably does not work on any version of PT newer than 6.9.

I have PT 6.4 the waves 5.0 was working fine. It has been for a long time.

Have you recently updated to Internet Explorer 8?
If so, uninstall it.

Control panel/add-remove programs. But you MIGHT have to re-install PT. I've seen IE8 actually corrupt the installation.

I'm having this problem right now, and disabling/uninstalling Internet Explorer does not help.

Pro-tools 10, Windows 8

Anyone knows a different way to go about this problem? I'd really appreciate it.

Make sure you've set PT to run as administrator. Make sure your running the latest version of the WavesShell. If your running Microsoft Security Essentials you might try exempting any Waves folders.

FYI, old thread...the answers given above do not apply to PT 10 Win 8.
