Default Who\'s using MH Channel Strip??

Is anyone using Metric Halo's Channel Strip? What are your impressions and what other plug-ins are you comparing it against? I'm wondering if it's in the same league as the Wave's EQ's and compressors and if it's cool then how is it on DSP.
Anyone know?

Tony

Many features(eq,comp,gate,graphical representation,etc).

DSP usage (on a TDM system) is very light, especially when you consider the Swiss-Army Knife capabilites. I imagine it follows suit in RTAS.

I hear people on the TDM forum praise it, saying things like, "The compressor section is the closest thing in a plug-in to an SSL", to things like they love the sound of the EQ. Others say, "Ahh, it's OK..."

I use it pretty much on every session, because the EQ is plenty comprehensive (6 band), sounds good, and the other tools are there if I need them. And it's easy on DSP.

I think if I could only have 1 plug-in to put on all tracks, it would be this one. It'd be like having a real... console, with extras.

I'm just wondering what speed Mac you're using & how many instances can comfortably run on your system ......... can you set up about 7 or 8 of them without squashing the Mac with DSP requirements? I'm using a G4 / 500.
Thanks!
Tony
