Mbox 2 /PT LE 7 not showing up in audio devices

I've downloaded wavedriver file, installed from disk etc..several times and I can't get the mbox 2 to show up in audio devices window..so I can use my monitors with windows media player etc...I ain't so good with the computer stuff but I thought I followed the very easy to follow directions...please give me a hand, I work during the hours of tech support availability.. worked just fine with fastrack pro thanks

If you have LE 7, you shouldn't need to download the wavedriver; it's installed with the program.

You said you had it working just fine with the fastrack? The fastrack only works with MPowered; did you have MPowered installed? If so, did you uninstall MPowered fully?

thanks for the fast help...please forgive my ignorance here, I saw when I loaded the disk the wavedriver should have loaded...when it wasn't working i tried the site download, I had the fast track pro, I thought I uninstalled everything but I really don't know what I'm doing at all, just try and follow the prompts, I don't see anything call mpowered anywhere, also in my sound and audio devices in the midi music playback box it says digidesign mbox2 but not in the playback or recording boxes..when in PT seems to be working both in recording and playback...hope this helps

Sorry, I was a bit confused; MPowered is the version of Pro Tools that is designed to work with interfaces made by MAudio (such as the fastrack) I thought that when you said you had it working with the fastrack, you meant that you had Pro Tools working with the fastrack, in which case you would have had to be using the MPowered version.

Have you tried a re-install of LE?

Just a note, the mBox will never show up in the recording dropdown; the wavedriver is playback only.

thanks, just finished re-install...PT seems to work fine and in the devices it says the audio driver is working but it just does not show in the drop box so I can select it for playback...hmmm and I forgot why my hair is grey ...it is all coming back now...
