Perpetual PT Studio license with MBOX.

Hi.

I assume that I get the perpetual PT Studio license if I buy MBOX Studio before 2th of June:

But what if I change the interface later? Can I still use my perpetual license with the new interface? Or is perpetual license tied to the MBOX?

No, the license is not “interface tied.” It was up thru PT8 but not any more.

Thank you, even though IMO Pro Tools is still the best DAW, Avids "ecosystem" is so confusing.

Hi PT Zone,

You can still use your Pro Tools Perpetual license even using a different interface.

Thanks, one more question: does perpetual license come with the valid upgrade plan that's valid one year from MBOX purchase?

No worries at all! Yes, an upgrade and support plan is included upon activation.

First, it isn’t a stupid question! Navigating the new licensing protocol can be tricky.
If memory serves, you have one year of ‘support’ from when you activate the license. So, no, you don’t get another year of support for free at the end of the first year. Mods correct me if I’m wrong.

If I needed a new interface, this would probably be in my top three. The Sweetwater deal at $300 off list is basically a free interface for the cost of a Studio Perpetual license.
