Default Shorten Song

I have a piece of music that I have finished that has midi tracks as well as audio tracks. I want it to be 1 minute long but it is over by about .7 second. Is there a quick easy way to shorten this so that it comes in at 1 minute? I don't care if it changes the pitch slightly since it is just instrumental, although I would rather it doesn't

1. Consolidate audio tracks.
2. Adjust tempo until Midi tracks finish at 01:00
3. Use TCE on audio tracks to line-up end points with Midi tracks.

Is it a finished mix?

I'd print the mix and do it to the 2 track.

I have done a bounce of the final mix. Are you saying to take that and open it as a new session and then adjust it? Would you do that with TCE?

I would probably use Elastic Audio instead of TCE - seems to be better quality IMHO. But similar to what Phil posted, make sure your tracks are all set to Ticks-Based, enable Elastic Audio on your audio tracks (probably using polyphonic or monophonic), adjust the tempo so that the song ends at 1:00, then enable X-Form on the adjusted audio tracks(may take a little while for it to process), and finally disable Elastic Audio and commit the changes on the audio tracks.

I personally don't like using Elastic Audio or TCE for entire drum tracks, though TCE comes in handy for short samples in editing. They both seem to mess with the transients on drums. I would tend to use Beat Detective to split the drums into smaller clips at the transients, then with the audio tracks set to Ticks-Based, you can adjust the tempo of the song and all the smaller clips will move accordingly. Then apply Edit Smoothing Fill/Crossfade to the drum tracks in Beat Detective. This method usually works well for me with drums for slight changes in tempo with no real loss in sonic quality.

You could, but if your goal is to retain the highest possible sonic quality, I would adjust the the individual tracks and re-bounce the mix. If you use the method I described above, your only real quality loss will be on the Elastic Audio tracks since the MIDI tracks and drums wouldn't have any "stretching or compressing" processing artifacts. Really just depends on how much time you want to spend on the tempo adjustment!
