Hey Digidesign! Why there's no system driver 4 XP?

Hello,

I've got Mbox with ProTools LE. Great box, so user frendly, fat Focusrite preamps.

I do some music on my laptop. I use my laptop at work too - I'm audio engineer. Very sad, but my Mbox won't work with SMAART audio spektrum analysis software, which is an everyday tool in audio industry these days. SMAART uses Windows system audio card, and won't accept ASIO driver.

SMAART works on Windows only. Many other pro audio programs are Windows only too. A the matter of fact working audio engineers swith form Macs to PCs.

I hate the thought about buying one more audio interface, cause Mbox won't work, despite being the most expensive in the range. It puts me off Digidesign.

Is it a big deal to write the system driver for winXP having ASIO driver already?

Considering both the WaveDriver and the ASIO driver have been available for quite some time.. your tone would warrant some kind of apology.

Ups, missed that one. The last time I checked the download page there was nothing.

But how dodgy is this - "You have to uninstall ASIO driver before using Wavedriver. Two drivers can't co-exist." "No demanding DirectSound applications".

Why is this? On any other hardware (Edirol, M-audio) they co-exist in love in harmony!

I want to use my softsynths in Cubase one day, and do a gig another day. This sucks, guys. You got no brains to get this bloody 2 channel interface sorted.....

i "think" you can have both asio & wave driver installed with ptle 6.1. but i still cant get either working with wavelab.
