Can this be used with a recent iMac (Thunderbolt) and an HDX Core card? Just trying to catch up on what's needed for this system...thx.

The interface is connected to the HDX card via DigiLink cable. If you found a way to connect the HDX card with a modern Mac (usually via Thundebolt chassis) the Omni will fit perfectly.
