Default Using the Digi002 as a mixer with MPC2000XL...

hi guys...

i have a big show coming up (at the House of Blues in Hollywood (shameless plug. lol))

anywho...
i do a lot of sequences and things like that.
i WAS gonna use Pro Tools off my powerbook to run my sequences off stage...but i don't have time for that right now...so i'm just gonna use my MPC2000xl.

i have the 8 outputs card installed in my MPC, so i wanted to know:
i could use my Digi002 as a standalone mixer right?

i was thinking about going 8 OUTS from my mpc and 8 INTO the Digi002 so i can control my levels of the tracks on stage.

this IS possible right?
just wanna make sure.

also...can i save settings of my levels and stuff even if i'm just using the Digi002 as a standalone mixer?

i'm still new to ProTools, so for now, i just wanna use the Digi002 to control the levels of my MPC.

please let me know..

thanx so much everyone

_chris

All you have to do is put your 002 in standalone mode....it then becomes an 8 in 8 out digital mixer. (does not work with 002 rack)

yeah...i know that much so far, but is there a section on the manual or readme's on using it in "standalone".

i kinda wanna know everything i could do with it in standalone mode...ya know?

for now...all i really need to know is if i could save settings and stuff so i wouldn't have to adjust sliders so much all the time (i mean...i know i'm gonna have to adjust anyways...but better have it set already closer to the sound i want...ya know?).

could anyone help?

_chris

p.s.

thanx C52382P...

Yeah it will let you take snapshots of everything....theres also some built in DSP ....reverb and delay eq compressor. Basic stuff you might use live. Just set everything how you want then hit the snapshot button on the right side of the 002. Simple menu will come up on the scriblle strips and allow you to name and save this snapshot....you can save different snapshots for each song if you want.

Loading them is just as easy...just hit the snap shot button and use the rotary encoder on whichever channel is selected to pick which snap shot you want then hit the sel button under the scribble strip window that says load.

Easy as pie.

I own an 002.... and im pretty sure that stuff was all in the book that came with it. Its all self explanatory...i kinda stumbled across it all the first couple of days I had the 002.

DSP stands for Digital Signal Processing.
